complementary homopolymeric tailing

The process of adding complementary nucleotide extensions to DNA molecules, (e.g. deoxyguanosine) to the 3' end of one DNA molecule and deoxycytidine to the 5' end of another DNA molecule) to facilitate the ligation of the two DNA molecules.
