combinatorial library

combinatorial library
The many novel combinations (consisting of one heavy and one light immunoglobulin chain coding region) that are generated when a heavy-chain library is combined by random pairing with a light-chain library. These constructs are propagated in a vector, and their gene products screened for novel affinity properties.
