bulked segregant analysis
A method to obtain markers linked to a target trait, in which DNA samples, prepared from a number of individuals of each of two contrasting phenotypes, are separately pooled and used to generate contrasting DNA fingerprints. DNA fragments unique to one pool become candidates for a marker linked to the gene controlling the trait.
